KHAOS
A New Opera
KHAOS
composer Don MacDonald
libretto by Nicola Harwood
Amy Ferguson Institute
March 2012, Nelson, BC
Artists associated with Twin Fish all work on various projects. At the present moment (so fleeting) Bessie Wapp is on a Balkan Music pilgrimage in Eastern Europe, Nicola Harwood is opening Salmon Row - a large site specific show in Vancouver. Don Macdonald is working his delicate fingers to the bone scoring the new opera KHAOS. Brahm Taylor is playing a lot of ultimate frisbee while he recovers from the spring Oxygen Cabaret where we made him push Nicola around the stage while she was passed out in a wheelbarrow....
OXYGEN ART CENTRE CABARETS are verging on taking over our lives because they are so much darn fun. Everytime I do one I swear I am going to quit writing anything but comedy. Then its over and all I can do is stare into space with my mouth open, getting a dry tongue. We get all obsessive and write and rehearse and produce the thing in 3 weeks. And the show keeps getting bigger. Thanks to all the amazing artists who throw their comedy weight behind this event. Watch for MacDeath: That Scottish Cabaret coming soon...
